Course Content

This is a compressed version of the 5 day training course for experienced engineers.

Day 1

  • Current legislation.
  • Protection of LV systems.
  • Power systems protection overview, motor protection, feeder protection, transformer protection and basic generator protection.

Day 2

  • Familiarisation with HV switchgear simulator.
  • Prepare switching schedules and exercises.
  • Fault finding on HV switchgear.
  • The faults will be control faults, power faults on the HV circuits and mechanical faults on the switchgear.
